Historic win in City Council elections

The Liberal Democrats were the big winners of the City Council elections this year.

With fourteen seats up for for election, the Liberal Democrats won eleven - gaining Bishop's Waltham, Alresford and Itchen Valley and Denmead wards from the Conservatives. 

The results mean that the Liberal Democrats now have 33 seats on Winchester City Council, a historic high.
