Thank you, Dom

After three decades as a local Councillor, Dominic Hiscock yesterday retired as the County Councillor for Winchester Eastgate.

We would all like to take this opportunity to thank Dom for his decades of service to our community.

He was the City Councillor for St Bartholomew ward for 22 years from 1999 until 2021, and was elected the County Councillor for Winchester Eastgate in 2017 and 2021.

He served as the Winchester City Council housing portfolio holder for seven years.

In 2009-10, he took office as the 810th Mayor of Winchester where his chosen charities were were the Trinity Centre and Emmaus Hampshire.

Dom can still be found at his usual spot in The Hyde Tavern or at the Winchester Rugby Club, and continuing his charity work with the Winchester Rotary.

We're very excited that Paula Ferguson will be the Liberal Democrat candidate in the upcoming by-election, to fill the very big shoes left by Dom.
